Farewell the 30th Festival on a high note! Hear stirring arias from the greatest operas of all time, performed by four brilliant Queensland stars of opera: EVA KONG, soprano, MILIJANA NIKOLIC, Mezzo Soprano, ROSARIO LA SPINA, tenor, JOSE CARBO, baritone. They will be joined by the brilliant ENSEMBLE Q ORCHESTRA.

This gala concert will include excerpts from Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, performed by soprano EVA KONG, fresh from starring in the successful Sydney ‘Opera on the Harbour’ season.

Brisbane-raised Opera Australia Music Director TAHU MATHESON will return to conduct once more at the festival that launched his career! Joining him on stage to narrate will be his younger brother TAMA MATHESON, returning to the festival from his theatre career in Europe and the UK.
